Asura Hosting has been around for a while and it’s hard to miss if you’re searching for cheap web hosting. That’s what they’re known for.

Asura’s reseller hosting plans come with two control panel options: cPanel and DirectAdmin. The cheaper one is DirectAdmin starting at $3.29/month for 15 accounts. cPanel reseller plans start at $4.99 for 5 cPanel accounts.

It’s one of the cheapest web hosts I’ve used, but not the best. Their prices are low because they overpack and oversell their servers. If performance and uptime are important to you, you’ll probably get disappointed with Asura Hosting.

I didn’t like their support either. They don’t seem to fully read or understand the request, so you may have to keep going back and forth with them.

Read the reviews from other customers on Trustpilot and you’ll hear worse than that.

If you can tolerate server issues like downtime, and you don’t care much about support, Asura Hosting may work for you.

I don’t recommend it if you have a serious business though.

A good alternative to Asura Hosting I’ve been using lately is Shock Hosting. It’s a little more expensive but has better uptime and support. Their servers are more stable than Asura’s and apparently less crowded.

I’ve used other hosts, but Shock Hosting is the closest alternative that comes to my mind, and unlike the majority of other hosts, they don’t give you an initial discount then hike up your renewal price. It’s a flat price and it’s reasonable in my opinion.
