cPanel is my favorite web hosting control panel because it has an intuitive interface that is very easy and efficient to work with. I rarely use a web hosting service that has any other control panel.
The problem with most cPanel hosting services is that they start at a low cost (initial one-time discount), then it gets real expensive when renewing the plan. And you don’t often get any discount on monthly plans.
The following are some of the best and most affordable cPanel hosting services I’ve personally used and would recommend to fellow webmasters:
1. Spaceship
- Monthly plan: $3.88 (renews at $3.88/month)
- Yearly plan: $19.88 (renews at $28.88/year)
I’d say Spaceship is the best place for a beginner to get a domain name with cheap cPanel web hosting in 2026. This is where I register my domains these days and I also use their cPanel hosting for my small sites. It’s a good value for money and the live chat support is satisfactory.
2. Ethernet Servers
- Monthly plan: $3.00 (renews at $3.00/month)
- Yearly plan: $30.60 (renews at $30.60/year)
Ethernet Servers is one of the cheapest web hosts I’ve had a great experience with. They offer cPanel hosting plans from just $3 monthly with all the essentials included for free: SSL certificate, email, malware protection, backups, etc. They have real human support that’s friendly and helpful.
Note: This website you’re viewing “SiteWays.pro” is hosted on Ethernet Servers.
3. NameCheap
- Monthly plan: $4.88 (renews at $4.88/month)
- Yearly plan: $22.88 (renews at $48.88/year)
I’ve been using NameCheap for a long time both as a domain registrar and web host. Although their prices have gone up, their shared cPanel hosting is still one of the most affordable options you’ll find in 2026. I only wish they offered free SSL certificates instead of premium ones, but other than that, it’s a solid service.
Note: NameCheap offers a free SSL certificate for the first year, then it renews for $13.20 per year.
4. Shock Hosting
- Monthly plan: $2.99 (renews at $2.99/month)
- Yearly plan: $30.50 (renews at $30.50/year)
Shock Hosting is another provider of affordable cPanel hosting I’ve had an amazing experience with. You can pay monthly or yearly with no bait-and-switch special discounts or upselling. They also offer a free dedicated IP address, which isn’t common for shared hosting.
5. Asura Hosting
- Monthly plan: $2.99 (renews at $2.99/month)
- Yearly plan: $29.79 (renews at $29.79/year)
Asura Hosting is another super cheap host I’ve used for simple WordPress sites. You can choose between cPanel and Direct Admin control panel, and you can pay monthly or yearly, except for the Starter plan which is only available with yearly payment. The plans renew at the same low price.
Note: Asura is a bit less reliable than the providers above. It’s not bad if you want something cheap, but the other hosts offer better service.
Price Comparison
This table compares the prices of monthly and yearly plans at each provider:
| Povider | Monthly plan | Monthly renewal | Yearly plan | Yearly renewal |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spaceship | $3.88 | $3.88 | $19.88 | $28.88 |
| Ethernet Servers | $3.00 | $3.00 | $30.60 | $30.60 |
| NameCheap | $4.88 | $4.88 | $22.88 | $48.88 |
| Shock Hosting | $2.99 | $2.99 | $30.50 | $30.50 |
| Asura Hosting | $2.99 | $2.99 | $29.79 | $29.79 |
What do Reddit users recommend for cheap cPanel hosting?
NameCheap and KnownHost have plenty of good reviews on Reddit for their affordable cPanel hosting. I’ve used both of these providers and can vouch for them as well. KnownHost is more expensive, but they have better security features and the support team is more knowledgeable.
